Silk Road Organik Foods is our Uzbek processor of organic and wild grown nuts and dried fruits. It is the first Fairtrade certified company in Central Asia. Silk Road sources its raw materials from two small farming cooperatives with around 1000 member families in the Samarkand region, along the ancient Silk Road. Silk Road is the newest member of the Pakka family. In addition to the Fairtrade premium, we empower the small farmers by pre-financing their harvest and giving them new access to the European market.

Gebana Burkina Faso is our processor of organic Fairtrade cashews and mangoes. Around 3,250 farming families benefit from secure long-term sales, organic and Fairtrade prices for their produce, and training and advice on organic farming. The factory employs around 450 people, creating valuable jobs and income opportunities in one of the world's poorest countries.
