About the product
The organic mangoes come from smallholder families in the Colombian Andes. They are organically grown at altitudes of up to 1,000 metres, harvested by hand when fully ripe and gently dried on site. The fruits are 100% natural, unsweetened, unsulphured and processed without additives. As production takes place entirely in Colombia, the entire value chain remains in the country of origin – from cultivation and processing to packaging.
The dried mangoes impress with their intense fruity aroma and pleasantly soft texture. Their natural sweetness is accompanied by a subtle, delicate acidity that is characteristic of fully ripe mangoes.
Dried mangoes are rich in fibre, which aids digestion and keeps you feeling full for longer. They also contain vitamin A, which contributes to normal immune system function, and vitamin C, which promotes iron absorption and has antioxidant properties. Potassium supports normal muscle and nerve function. When enjoyed in moderation, dried mangoes are a natural source of energy and a valuable addition to a balanced diet.
The dried mango strips are ideal as a snack on their own, in muesli, in bowls or for homemade energy bars, e.g. in combination with nuts and dark chocolate.
The organic mangoes grow in the Colombian department of Cundinamarca around Alto Magdalena. The cooperative comprises 35 families who cultivate 71.5 hectares organically. After harvesting, the fruit is washed, peeled, cut into strips and gently dried without any additives at our partner Fruandes in Ibagué. It is then sorted and packaged directly on site. Processing immediately after harvesting preserves the aroma, texture and nutrients.

The dried mangoes are produced entirely in Colombia – directly in the country of origin of the raw materials. Pakka deliberately focuses on direct trade and does not use intermediaries. This strengthens the entire value chain locally. Not only does this ensure the best product quality, it also creates fair jobs in structurally weak regions of Colombia and contributes to sustainable economic development.
