Pakka Georgia
For the past 10 years, Pakka has been supporting Georgian farming families to establish a sustainable value chain for hazelnuts. The organic hazelnuts are processed locally and sold through fair trade in Switzerland and Europe. Thanks to a modern nut processing plant financed by Pakka and its partners, the quality, yield and income of the 700 farming families involved have increased. The aim is to increase annual production to 1,000 tonnes of organic hazelnuts by 2025.
