Twenty years ago, Pakka's story began with a simple but powerful idea: trading organic products fairly – from their origin to you.
In 2006, in India, the first cashew nuts tasted so good that the Pakka founders were inspired to take action. Pakka started small, in a family living room, and grew naturally over time. This growth was supported by trust, respect and long-term partnerships with producers in the Global South. Learn more about the beginnings of Pakka
Twenty years later, Pakka still stands for genuine quality ("pakka" means mature, solid, authentic in Hindi) and for an economic model that has an impact: socially, ecologically and economically. And we are still a long way from reaching our goal.

Donate trees: Together we can grow the future
One purchase. One tree. A brighter future.
In our anniversary year, we are planting a tree for every order placed in the Pakka online shop. So with your purchase, you are making a statement in favour of organic products, fair trade and climate protection.
A mango tree for tomorrow
Together with our partners in Colombia, we plant trees that have a long-term impact:
Strengthen families and secure income
Promote biodiversity and healthy soils
Actively contributing to climate protection
A single tree can bear around 200 kg of fruit per year and provide a stable income of approximately CHF 100 per year over a period of 30 years. This is the case, for example, for our partner and smallholder Jefferson and his daughter Danna at Finca Verena in Colombia (pictured above).
