Pakka is a long-standing partner of Fruandes, a socially committed Colombian organic dried fruit producer based in Ibagué, west of Bogotá. The company's aim is to produce high quality, healthy organic products locally and to share the added value fairly between producers, processors and consumers. Fruandes sources its fruit from seven cooperatives with over 650 farming families from different regions of the Colombian Andes. In recent years, Pakka has helped Fruandes build a new processing plant, modernise its packaging line and expand its warehouse. This has allowed the company to grow and create valuable jobs in a rural region.
